Excellent Location & Transport Links
Burnden House is easily reached by car, train, or bus, with Stafford Railway Station just a short drive or bus ride away, and excellent road links via the M6 and A34. There is on-site parking available for visitors, as well as additional free street parking nearby. Click here for directions.

Abacus Psychology Service is pleased to welcome clients to our South Manchester base in Unit 6 at The Stables, a small, characterful courtyard development in the heart of East Didsbury, just moments from Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre. Tucked away from the main road, the setting feels calm and discreet, offering a reassuring sense of privacy from the moment you arrive.
Our office has its own private entrance and a thoughtfully arranged interior, with a bright, welcoming waiting area and comfortable therapy rooms designed to support confidential, unhurried conversations. The space has been chosen to feel relaxed and approachable rather than clinical or corporate.
The location is both convenient and easy to reach, with cafés, shops and local amenities nearby, as well as excellent transport links including East Didsbury train and tram stations within walking distance. On-site parking is also available, helping to make visits as straightforward as possible.

Getting Here
By car:
Our office is located at Unit 6, The Stables, Parrs Wood, East Didsbury (M20 5PG). Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre is well signposted from the A34 (Kingsway), and The Stables are accessed via the main Parrs Wood site. Once on site, follow signs for The Stables. On-site parking is available nearby, making arrival straightforward.
By bus:
Several bus routes serve the Parrs Wood and East Didsbury area, with stops close to Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre on the A34. From the bus stop, The Stables are just a short walk away. Bus routes from Manchester city centre, Stockport and surrounding areas run frequently throughout the day.
By train:
East Didsbury railway station is within walking distance of the practice. Exit the station towards Parrs Wood / East Didsbury and follow signs towards Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre. The Stables are a few minutes’ walk from there.
By tram:
East Didsbury Metrolink stop is also a short walk away and provides direct connections to Manchester city centre and beyond. From the tram stop, walk towards Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre and follow signs for The Stables.
